Yes. All PHI is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). Access is logged in an append-only HIPAA audit log for every read, write, and export event. We maintain HIPAA Security Rule §164.312 technical safeguards throughout the stack. Yes — BAA execution is part of day-one onboarding, not a legal hurdle you wait weeks for. You can review and sign the BAA here. CareNoteIQ will not process PHI for your account until the BAA is executed.
Yes — monthly billing, cancel anytime, no penalties or exit fees. On cancellation you receive a full data export in structured format (JSON + PDF) covering all patient records, clinical notes, and audit logs. Your data is never held hostage.
All data is stored in US-based infrastructure. The primary database runs on Neon PostgreSQL (AWS us-east-1). Uploaded documents (license scans, AD forms, signatures) are stored in Cloudflare R2 (US-East). No data is stored outside the United States.

CareNoteIQ is designed to be the clinical documentation layer sitting alongside your billing/scheduling system.
